Cultural BEES: “Creating Cultural Heritage Businesses through Hybrid Learning Models & Hands-On Curricula Across Borders”

The Cultural BEES project aims to develop and implement an innovative training program and digital toolkit to enhance entrepreneurship skills among youth in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sector. Drawing inspiration from the Junior Achievement training model “Inspire-Prepare-Succeed,” the project targets 15-18-year-old students and young adults aged 18-30, equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and tools for successful careers in CCI.

This program will support young individuals in developing their ideas, projects, and businesses within the CCI sector, ensuring that these initiatives are sustainable, inclusive, and innovative. It combines face-to-face training sessions, self-paced online learning, and virtual communities to deliver a comprehensive educational experience. The project includes large-scale piloting of the developed methodology, involving the training of 1,000 students at secondary and tertiary education levels in three European countries: Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Italy.

The Cultural BEES consortium consists of 11 partners from six EU countries, including JA Europe and its regional branches, universities, a social enterprise, a strategic design hub, an association of municipalities, and SMEs, along with UNESCO Cyprus as an associated partner. The diverse expertise and complementary skills of these partners are crucial for the project’s success. Over 36 months, the consortium will undertake activities structured into six work packages: Project Management and Coordination, Skills Mapping, Training Design and Development, Testing and Implementation in Schools and Universities, Best Practices and Policy Recommendations, and Communication and Dissemination.
