The Subcarpathian ALMA Initiative – European Youth Mobility’ project is a
strategic undertaking aimed at the professional and social activation of 465
people aged 18-29 from the Subcarpathian Voivodeship who belong to the NEET
group (not in education, employment or training). The project is distinguished by its
comprehensive approach based on four pillars: diagnosis, preparation, mobility
(two-month paid internships abroad in Spain, Italy, Greece or Cyprus) and
post-internship support. Participants receive full funding for travel,
accommodation, meals and insurance, as well as an internship grant. The
initiative focuses on the active inclusion of people with disabilities and the
long-term unemployed, offering them security and the support of mentors,
counsellors and psychologists.
The main objectives of the ‘Podkarpacka Inicjatywa ALMA’ project are:
- Improving access to employment for young people in a difficult situation on
the labour market.
- Providing participants with practical, international professional experience
in industries such as catering, hospitality, IT, tourism, agriculture and
logistics.
- Improving language (English, Italian, Spanish, Greek) and cultural skills.
- Increasing self-confidence, independence and soft skills necessary in
professional life.
- Social and professional reintegration of people at risk of exclusion.
- Achieving measurable results: qualifications for at least 300 people and
employment for at least 46 people.
