The ALMA Journey Begins: Welcoming the First Group from Podkarpackie to Larnaca!
We’re thrilled to announce that the Podkarpacka Inicjatywa ALMA has officially landed in Cyprus!
This week, InnoEUsphere had the pleasure of welcoming the very first group of ambitious young participants from Poland’s Podkarpackie region to Larnaca. This marks the beginning of their 2-month professional mobility adventure, implemented in partnership with the project leader, Rzeszowska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. (RARR).
Aim, Learn, Master, Achieve
The ALMA initiative is not just about travel; it is about transformation. These young people, previously part of the NEET group (Not in Employment, Education, or Training), have taken a brave step toward redefining their futures.
The first days have been full of excitement, new challenges, and breaking barriers. Here is what some of our participants are saying about their first impressions:
“Before ALMA, I felt stuck. Finding a meaningful job without experience seemed impossible. My internship in the tourism sector here in Larnaca has been a game-changer. The opportunity to work in an international environment has opened my eyes to possibilities I never considered, and my resume is now truly competitive. It’s more than just a qualification; it’s confidence in my professional future.”
“The whole experience is flawless, honestly. We have everything covered: the accommodation is superb—really comfortable and close to the beach. And the food is amazing! Trying authentic Cypriot and Mediterranean dishes every day is a bonus I didn’t expect. Plus, working in this beautiful sunshine instead of the Polish grey sky is incredibly motivating. InnoEUsphere and RARR made sure we could focus 100% on learning and achieving our goals.”
Beyond their internships, the group is immersing themselves in Cypriot culture. Through our supportive and inclusive learning environment, we are guiding them as they:
- Gain Independence: Living abroad and managing daily life in a new country.
- Build Networks: Connecting with local employers and peers.
- Develop Soft Skills: Teamwork, adaptability, and intercultural communication.
